• RCTA580 - Rapid Capillary Thromboplastin - 6 x 5 ml

A freeze dried mixture of thromboplastin, plasma (devoid in factors II, VII, IX & X), calcium chloride and buffers. The reagent can be used either manually, or semi-automated on a device such as the Thrombotrack, to test capillary blood (finger prick), citrated whole blood or plasma. It has been designed specifically for use in the control of oral anticoagulant therapy and the clotting times are significantly shorter than those obtained with Two-Seven-Ten reagents thus increasing the rate of patient through put.

Diagen Finger Prick Control Plasmas are designed to mimic, as closely as possible, the properties of capillary blood. They have a reagent defined INR and are suitable for use as controls in a test system when using Diagen Rabbit Brain Capillary Reagent.
