Activated Protein C Resistance Testing

"Diagen" PCA Ratio Kit in Factor V Depleted Plasma provides a fast and effective method of determining resistance to activated protein C due to the Factor V Leiden mutation (FV:Q⁵⁰⁶). An Activated Partial Thromboplastin Time (APTT) based test, it utilizes the endogenous production of APC by an extract of the snake venom Agkistrodon contortrix contortrix, with the test sample diluted in factor V depleted plasma. Our established assay will provide the user with 40 manual or 80 automated tests and has been shown to demonstrate superior discrimination between normal and abnormal (FV:Q⁵⁰⁶) samples in both untreated and patients recieving oral anticoagulant therapy; when compared to other APTT based methods.

"Diagen" PCA Ratio Kit provides a fast and effective method of screening for resistance to activated protein C due to the Factor V Leiden mutation (FV:Q⁵⁰⁶). An APTT based screening test for APC resistance, the kit utilizes the endogenous production of APC by an extract of the snake venom Agkistrodon contortrix contortrix. Each kit provides 60 manual or 120 automated tests.
